The work of the Centre rests on identified contributions. Each role below corresponds to a real need and to an estimable workload. Applications are open.

Regulatory watch

Purpose: Follow changes in the conditions applicable to sub-band P, 869.4-869.65 MHz: ERC Recommendation 70-03, the ETSI EN 300 220 standard, decisions of the ANFR and the ARCEP, and the work of the CEPT. Translate those texts into practical consequences for operators.
Profile: At ease with normative texts. Amateur or professional experience in radiofrequencies is an asset, not a requirement.
Estimated workload: A few hours a month, with peaks at times of revision.

Measurement and observation

Purpose: Work the radio capture data, produce analyses of band occupancy, repeater load and traffic behaviour. Publish reproducible results.
Profile: Data processing, relational databases, some grounding in radiofrequencies.
Estimated workload: Variable, depending on the campaigns.

Tool development

Purpose: Design and maintain the provisioning tool, the propagation calculators and the analysis utilities.
Profile: Web development, or embedded development depending on the work.
Estimated workload: Per project.

External relations

Purpose: Hold the dialogue with the associations of the field, the local authorities and the regulators. Represent the work of the Centre.
Profile: At ease in institutional settings, knowledge of the voluntary or administrative world.
Estimated workload: Occasional, on request.

Regional representative

Purpose: Relay the convention to the operators of a regional area, welcome newcomers, report back local practices and local difficulties.
Profile: Operator active in the region concerned.
Estimated workload: A few hours a month.

Documentation and translation

Purpose: Maintain the documentary corpus, keep it consistent and produce the English-language versions.
Profile: Technical writing, translation.
Estimated workload: Variable.

How to come forward

Contributions are declared through the channels given on the contact page. A message stating the role sought and the availability envisaged is enough.

Proposals for roles not listed will be considered.
